A thermostatic cartridge delivers a stable showering temperature, even with erratic hot and cold pressure.
A thermostatic cartridge will mix hot and cold water to a maximum temperature of 45° Celsius, resulting in a very accurate and stable output temperature. If the cold water cuts off for any reason, the thermal element quickly expands to shut off the hot water, preventing exposure to scalding water straight from the water heater.
